We are forecasting for a world that no longer exists.
We are forecasting for a world that no longer exists.
For decades, the financial industry was built on the luxury of stability. Globalization was a default. Liquidity was borderless. Technology was a mere tool for efficiency.
In 2026, those assumptions are liabilities.
We are transitioning into a new order of Fragmented Liquidity. Capital is retreating into regional blocs. Geopolitics is no longer an "external factor", it is the primary driver of P&L. From the private credit squeeze to the volatility of the AI-valuation cycle, the industry is struggling because it remains Macro-Blind.
I’ve spent the last several years building the blueprints for the 2025–2030 financial landscape. My takeaway is simple:
Incrementalism is dead. Resilience is the only Alpha.
We must move beyond "predicting" the next black swan and start building Resilience Architecture. This requires a fundamental audit of:
- Capital Models: Moving from "Efficiency" to "Robustness."
- Investment Theses: Pricing geopolitical risk as a core variable, not an overlay.
- Product Strategy: Designing FS products that thrive on volatility rather than fear it.
