How to read this page

  1. 1.Compare real yields (policy rate minus inflation) across regions. Higher real rates have tended to attract capital from abroad.
  2. 2.Look for divergence. Exchange rates often move when one central bank's rates pull away from another's.
  3. 3.Watch for regime changes. When an economy moves to a different part of the growth and inflation cycle, different asset classes have historically led.
  4. 4.Read the structural themes above to understand the interpretive context behind the numbers.

Data Sources: Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), European Central Bank (ECB), Bank of Japan (BOJ). All figures are the latest available as of today. Real yield = Policy Rate - CPI YoY.
